Next ten digits: This is the Permanent account number of the business entities. 

Thirteenth digit: This means the chronic number of GST registrations which the business entities have for business verticals in the state, under a similar Permanent Account Number. It can go from 1 to 9 for organizations with up to nine industry vertical registrations in a state and in excess of 9 GST registrations- A to Z., E.g., when an entity gets GST number for its third business segment in a state, the digit will be three, while when an entity gets GST registration number for its thirteenth business vertical in the entity, the digit will be D. 

Fourteenth digit: It will be 'Z' by default. 

The fifteenth digit: It indicates a 'checksum.'
